Biography
Katalin Borbély, MD, PhD, MedHab, DSc, Professor of Medical University of Pecs and Kaposvar, Hungary, Europe). She has board examinations in neurology, internal medicine, and nuclear medicine (Semmelweis University, Budapest). She did her PET training (tumors, movement disorders, epilepsy, and stroke) at NIH (Bethesda, MD, USA). Also, she worked for the Universities of Zürich, Klagenfurt, and Paris. She had a close scientific collaboration with Universities of Karolinska, Stockholm, and Aarhus. She worked for the National Institute of Neurosurgery (Budapest, 1985-2005), National Institute of Oncology (2005- ), University of Kaposvar (2011- ) (PET/CT, PET/MRI Centers). She was/is a supervisor and lecturer at several PhD courses (Eotvos Lorand University, Universities of Budapest, Pecs, etc.). She has over 70 publications, including highly cited articles (cit: over 840), books, chapters, over 300 lectures. She has a wide research, referees, and expert advisory activities. She is a member of several societies, editorial boards, etc. She has got over 10 awards since her schools.
