Biography
Miklos Veres is a senior research fellow at Wigner Research Centre for Physics.He was graduated from Institute for Solid State Physics ,Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Hungary area.He is a experimental physicist and head of the Nanostructures and Applied Spectroscopy Group at Wigner Research Centre for Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences working in the field of materials science and characterization.
Research Interest
Main research areas: - Preparation and characterization of carbon-based materials, including amorphous carbon thin films, nanodiamonds and carbon nanoparticles; - Thin film growth using microwave and radio frequency chemical vapor deposition; - Characterization of chalcogenides using Raman spectroscopy; - Structural transformations in polymers during ion irradiation; - Raman and UV-VIS-NIR optical spectroscopy; - Development of novel optical sensors based on Raman spectroscopy and SERS for biomedical applications.
