Umesh Holani

Biography

 Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Holani (born January 9, 1959) obtain his B.Com. (1978) and M.Com. (1982) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (MP) India and also Ph.D. (1989) from the same University. He joined Grasim Industries Limited in 1978 as Clerk and then joined as Lecturer in 1984 (Madhav College, Gwalior). In 1985 he joined Department of Commerce, Jiwaji University, Gwalior as Lecturer, became Reader in 1993 and subsequently Professor in 2001. Professor Holani has published approx. 250 papers in various journals. He has supervised 47 Ph.D. and a large number of M.Phil. Students. Currently, a number of research students are working under his supervision. 

Research Interest

 He was President of Indian Accounting Association 2011-12, Secretary of Gwalior Branch of I.A.A.. He chaired a number of technical sessions, deliver keynote speech in a large number of seminars and conferences. He was Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Management, Chairman, B.O.S. in Commerce/Business Administration/ Chemical Sales and Marketing Management. Currently he is Chief Editor of Indian Journal of Accounting.
