Paramjit Singh Gill

Biography

Paramjit Singh Gill is currently designated as the President and CEO of Allied Blenders & Distillers. An industry veteran, he has had a remarkable career spanning over 30 years in the FMCG and alcobev industry. At ABD, he is responsible to deliver profitable growth and strategic agenda with the senior leadership team directly reporting into him. He has an enviable track record in leadership and sales management roles in both the FMCG and spirits industry in India and abroad. He has over 25 years of experience leading the alcobev major, United Spirits Ltd. where he served as a President of All India Operations. In 1996, he took on a senior leadership role at United National Breweries Ltd., South Africa where he played a significant role in turning the company around from a loss making operation into a sustainable business. In 2007, he returned as Regional Profit Centre Head of Northern India for United Spirits where he played a key role in strengthening the company operations. Prior to joining the alco-bev industry in 1992, He worked for nine years in Glaxo’s food division. He holds a distinguished academic track record. He graduated with a B.Sc Physics from Christ Church College Kanpur in 1982. In 1999-2000 Paramjit became a Chartered Marketer from Institute of Marketing Management, South Africa. Whilst in South Africa, Paramjit also acquired an M. Phil in Knowledge Management and Values from the prestigious Stellenbosch University. He also holds a diploma in labour law. Later in 2011, Paramjit was nominated for the Fulbright- Nehru-CII Fellowship for Leadership in Management program at Carnegie Mellon University.
