Biography
Dr. Dhananjay Patankar is Vice President – Biologics at Syngene International in Bangalore. Syngene is a leading contract service provider in India serving the pharma and biotech industry in drug discovery, development and manufacturing. Previously Dr. Patankar was involved in the biosimilar industry as Chief Operating Officer of Intas Biopharmaceuticals and as Sr Scientist at Wockhardt. In that tenure, he led the development and commercialization of several biosimilar products, and led the development of India’s first biosimilar product to receive marketing authorization in Europe (filgrastim, sold as Grastofil) as well as the world’s first Pegfilgrastim biosimilar.
