Tjalling Tiemstra

Biography

Tjalling Tiemstra was appointed to the Supervisory Boards of ABN AMRO Group N.V. and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. on 18 May 2016. Mr Tiemstra began his career in 1979 at Unilever, for which he was based in England, Mexico, Poland and Germany. He went on to become CFO and member of the managing board of Hollandsche Beton Group N.V. from 2001 to 2002 and CFO and member of the managing board of Hagemeyer N.V. from 2002 to 2008. Since October 2008, Tjalling Tiemstra is director and owner of Drs J.S.T. Tiemstra Management Services B.V. Furthermore, Mr Tiemstra currently holds several supervisory, advisory and other board positions. Previously, Mr Tiemstra was a member of the Supervisory Board of Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM, Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets) and the AFM Financial Reporting & Accountancy Committee from 2009 to 2012 and member of the supervisory board of Ballast Nedam N.V. from 2014 to 2015. Furthermore, he was board member of Stichting Continuïteit TNT Express (Continuity Foundation) from March 2011 to July 2016 and member of the Supervisory Board of Batenburg Techniek N.V. from April 2013 to May 2017.
