Biography
His education includes: B.Sc.(Hons), Chemistry, University of Delhi M.Sc. Biomedical Sciences, University of Delhi, Ph.D., Biomedical Sciences, University of Delhi, M.S., Bioinformatics University of Edinburgh. His Teaching Experience: 14 years; Subjects taught: Bioorganic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics and in silico Drug Discovery.
Research Interest
Use of open source tools to integrate bioinformatics and cheminformatics for addressing complex problems in biology, Virtual screening of potential inhibitors against efflux pumps of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and predicting the accumulation of molecules on the basis of their structural features, In silico docking and identification of a library of chemicals for specific screening against plasmodium falciparum, Predicting the habitat of the bacteria from its proteome using machine learning approach.
