Biography
Dr. Geetu Gambhir (Assistant Professor and Convenor. ABHIKRIYA – The Chemistry Society) holds specialization in Organic Chemistry. She is an active member of the department having keen interest in theatre and extra-curricular activities. She enthusiastically mentors the students on the academic personal or career related issues and motivates them for participation in workshops and conferences to keep them updated on latest areas of concerns in science , education or relate issues has successfully completed a UGC sponsored project on Chemical Sensors. Her interest in teaching is closely followed by her passion about environmental issues. She is a keen experimentalist and an amateur painter.
Research Interest
Area of research had been organic synthetic chemistry .However with new challenges of time and science currently carrying out reearch and studies in the field of enviorment and pollution abadement. Actively working for an ongoing UGC project for the development of new ion sensors for the detection of heavy metal ions in water.
