Biography

Nilesh Wadhwa is a Life Sciences Executive with over 20+ years of rounded experience within Pharmaceuticals (incl. Generics), Nutritionals and OTC / Consumer Healthcare industry. After graduating from Business School post his Bachelors in Pharmacy, he started his career in India and over the years has worked within Pharma / Consumer Healthcare Industry across various functions and multiple geographies covering Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Europe. During his career, he has handled several roles with rising responsibilities spanning sales & marketing, commercial operations, international market expansion and over the last few years in strategy and business development. He has worked with multinationals such as Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Banner Pharmacaps Inc., Sanofi (Asia Pacific) and more recently as Head of Business Development and Strategy at Takeda Pharmaceuticals Asia Pacific. Over time he has developed a strong understanding of the Regulatory framework, New Product development process, manufacturing operations and of course sales and marketing of Pharmaceuticals, Nutritionals, OTC / Consumer Healthcare as well as Biotech products He has been actively involved in forging a series of alliances and has led and closed several licensing and merger & acquisition projects Combining his technical background with his management skills and a global cross-cultural working experience, he has evolved as a professional who can drive unique strategic and functional initiatives and make significant contributions to the organisations he serves and the industry in general.
