Biography
Dr Navneet S. Tewatia joined FIND, India in July 2017 and in August took on the role of Advocacy Officer for HCV. He previously served as Program Officer-Advocacy at the UNAIDS country office, where he was responsible for advocacy and leadership, external relations, health policy, community mobilization and promoting high-level political discourse around HIV and AIDS. Navneet is a public health professional with over 14 years’ experience in multi-sectoral advocacy, communications and high-level engagement with governments, industry and political leaders. He received his PhD from National Law School, Bangalore and completed his MBA at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Mohali. He is a Pharmacy graduate with a post-graduate diploma in IPRs, human rights and public health. In his current role, Navneet is responsible for developing a country-specific advocacy strategy and demand creation work plans. He will be mapping key stakeholders and work towards building relationships and capacities. He is responsible for convening annual advocacy stakeholder meetings, and working closely with the HCV project teams.
