Dr. Archana Hingorani

Biography

Dr. Archana Niranjan Hingorani, Ph.D., serves as a Director of IL&FS Trust Company Ltd. She serves as a Direcor at QVC realty Co. She serves Director at IL&FS Urban Infrastructure Managers Limited. Dr. Hingorani has been a Director of Petronet India Limited since June 20, 2004. She has been with the IL&FS Group for 21 years and has performed a multitude of roles - starting off as an economist and moving on to project finance and asset management. Dr. Hingorani heads IIML's infrastructure team. She leads an investment team of around 65 professionals. Dr. Archana Niranjan Hingorani, Ph.D., served as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of IL&FS Investment Managers Limited since January 19, 2009 until April 30, 2017. She serves as the Member of Advisory Board at Foundation Holdings. She is on the Advisory Council of Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA). She is co-chair on the Investment Commission Board of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative. Dr. Hingorani served as a Non-Executive Director at Ramky Infrastructure Ltd. from December 22, 2006 to November 13, 2014. She served as Non Independent Director of Gayatri Projects Ltd from February 2, 2006 to January 30, 2009. She served as a Director of Konaseema Gas Power Ltd and Ramky Infrastructure Limited from December 22, 2006 to November 14, 2014. . She has over 29 years' experience in the financial services business, teaching and research. Dr. Hingorani worked on various finance transactions and has participated fin negotiating and structuring project contracts, especially in the infrastructure and real estate sector. Dr. Hingorani's focus since 2003 has been on private equity fund management. Dr. Hingorani has been involved with recommendation of financing and business structures for a cross section of infrastructure projects including those in telecom, power, surface transport, piped LNG, and area development. Dr. Hingorani received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Bombay University and a Master's in Business Administration and Ph.D. in Corporate Finance from the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.
