Biography
Research interests of Dr. A. H. M. Ahmad include sedimentation and tectonic history of Proterozoic and Mesozoic sediments. I have keen interest in the understanding of tectonic and diagenetic evolution of Mesozoic sediments. I teach sedimentary petrology, and Petroleum Geology at U.G and P.G level. I have supervised 06 doctoral thesis (awarded/ submitted) and at present supervising 02 doctoral thesis. I have published 70 research papers peer in reviewed journals to my credit. Some of important journals where my papers are published include Cretaceous Research, Sedimentary Geology, Bores, Journal of Asian Earth Sciences, Geochemical Journal, International Geological Review and Journal of the Geological Society of India. I have completed 05 research projects as Principal / Co Investigator and at present carrying out 01 research projects sponsored by UGC. I have been fellow and life member of many learned bodies and have been a member of IGCP-506, Treasurer Indian Association of Sedimentologists, and Member Indian Association of Sedimentologist.
