Biography
After having passed MBBS in 2003 and qualified MD (Pediatrics) in first attempt in 2008 from JNMCH, AMU, Aligarh, Dr Ayesha Ahmad joined as a Senior Registrar in Pediatrics in Department of Pediatrics, Dr. R. M. L. Hospital & Associated PGIMER, New Delhi. After completing her tenure as Senior Registrar, she joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, JNMCH, AMU, Aligarh, the post at which she is working since April 2012. The duties include teaching undergraduate and post-graduate students (MD & DCH), both clinical as well as classroom teachings; attending OPD, emergency calls, paediatric ICU and neonates, referrals from colleagues and allied specialties and helping post-graduate students with their thesis work. She obtained the prestigious Membership of Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), London, United Kingdom, in the year 2014. She was awarded the European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship (ESPE) in 2016 for working in Pediatric Endocrinology in the United Kingdom. Currently, she is involved in developing Pediatric Endocrinology division in the department. This is to cater the ever increasing cases of Type 1 diabetes, thyroid & growth disorders and the other endocrine issues of pediatric age group in our catchment area. Her main areas of research and publications are in field of Pediatric Endocrinology and General Pediatrics.
