Biography

We have been working on the study of nuclear reaction dynamics in light and heavy ion interactions, during the last several years. Other research interests include the study of elemental analysis using the PIXE technique and the study of heavy ion interactions at Fermi energies. For the experimental work, we are using the national accelerator facilities like the Cyclotron of VECC, Kolkata, 16 UD Pelletron accelerator of Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi, etc. Our work on the study of complete and incomplete fusion of heavy ions has been widely referred and we published a large number of research papers in the International Journals of repute including the (i) Physics Letters B (ii) Nuclear Physics A (iii) Physical Review C (iv) International Journal of Modern Physics E (v) European Physical Journal A (vi) Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research (vii) Applied Radiation Isotopes etc. We have been working with national collaborations and have completed the International Collaboration project as well. Nuclear Data produced from our work have also been compiled in the EXFOR format of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria. Some of the papers/topics, which I have taught at the post graduate and under graduate level are the Nuclear Physics, Thermodynamics, Electronics, Heavy ion Physics, Experimental techniques, Mechanics, etc.
