Biography
Dr. Syed Akhlaq Ahmad Obtained Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from University of Roorkee and Master of Technology and Doctor of Philosophy from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh as Lecturer in December 1988. Promoted to Lecturer Selection Grade in December 1998 and to Reader in June 2004. Placed as Associate Professor on January 1, 2006. Major areas of research interests include Transfer Operations, Separation Processes, Modeling Simulation and Optimization, Thermodynamics of Phase Equilibria. About twenty five years of teaching and research experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Taught about fifteen different theory courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Supervised more about ten M. Tech. Dissertations, few are under progress. Attended many national and international conferences. Published the research papers in reputed international journals like Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering, Fluid Phase Equilibria and International Journal of Scientific and Engineering Research.
