Biography
Dr. Fatima Khan is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, J.N.M.C., A.M.U., Aligarh. She is also Incharge Central Sterilization Unit, J. N.M.C., A.M.U and Convener Biomedical Waste Committee and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, JNMCH, AMU. She is actively involved in hospital infection control activities and founder secretary of Hospital Infection Society India- Aligarh Chapter. She is actively involved in post graduate and undergraduate teaching learning activities and is a member of Combined Clinical Meet Committee, JNMC and mentor for 10 students of MBBS Batch 2016. She successfully completed a project on Leptospirosis sponsored by SERB, Department Of Science & Technology. Her field of interest are Bacteriology, Antimicrobial Resistance and Hospital Acquired Infections. She organized a National Symposium on "Hospital Acquired Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance" in December 2014. She has won the Best paper award for her research paper entitled "MRSA- A threat to the hospitals in India" presented at 56th Annual National Conference of Indian Public Health Association, Kochi, Kerela in 2012. She has many research publications in International and National Journals to her credit namely Australasian Medical Journal, Journal of Laboratory Physicians, Trends in Medical Research, American Eurasian Journal of scientific research, Neurology Asia, Malaysian Journal of Microbiology, Journal of Pure and Applied Microbiology, International research journal of Microbiology. Dr. Fatima Khan completed her M.B.B.S from JNMC., A.M.U and MD in Microbiology from the same institution.
