Biography

Dr. Imran Ahmad did M.Ch. in Plastic Surgery from AMU in 1999. His field of interest is hand and microsurgery. He has 41 papers to his credit (24 International & 17 National ) and a chapter in the book "The Principles and Practice of Wound Care" on surgical management of diabetic foot ulcers. He attended 45 conferences and presented 32 papers & also chaired scientific session at international & national conferences including guest lectures. He got special training in hand and reconstructive microsurgery in 2002 from Ganga Hospital Coimbatore and started microsurgery in J. N. Medical College in 2002. He was then awarded Johnson and Johnson fellowship for hand & microsurgery from Ganga Hospital in 2003. He was also awarded Brig. Kathapadia fellowship in hand surgery in 2014 and Vasudhan Arijin fellowship in Laser Surgery in 2004 by Association of Plastic Surgeons of India. At present, Life member of APSI, Reconstructive Microsurgery, National Society for Wound Care and Research and National Academy of Burns. Invited faculty in APSICON 2011,2013 NABICON 2012,2013 and WOUNDCARE CON 2012 and 2014. He is M.Ch examiner, paper setter, moderator and thesis examiner of M.Ch(plastic surgery) . At present joint secretary of National Burns Academy. Member of the plastic surgery team to operate cases of cleft lip in the train stationed at Babrala- UP. Running hand clinic OPD on Thursdays to benefit traumatic and congenital deformities of hand.
