Biography
Indu Shukla is actively involved in under-graduate and post-graduate teaching and research in the Department for the last 35 years. Fields of interest include virology, bacteriology, mycobacteriology and microbial drug resistance. Guided 53 MD thesis and two PhD Microbiology thesis. Have five ongoing projects, over 62 research publications in national and international journal and have authored two books. Presently working on the control of hospital acquired infections by active surveillance in hospital wards and OTs. For the early diagnosis of tuberculosis, actively involved in the establishment of Line Probe Assay laboratory with funding from PATH and FIND.
