Biography

Presently I am working as Senior Assistant Professor-cum-Museum Curator in the Department of Zoology, A.M.U. Aligarh. I joined this department in 2005 as Museum Curator. I got all my education from Aligarh Muslim University starting from schooling till Ph.D. degree I have got more than 10 years of teaching experience and have guided around 09 students for project course at PG level. Under my supervision 03 students were enrolled for M.Phil. and Ph.D. programme and one is working as PDF. Two of my research students has got M.Phil. degree and one got Ph.D. degree My area of specialisation is entomology and my research interest/focus areas are Insect physiology and Insect pest management. Since joining as Asstt. Professor I have been associated with courses like cell biology, evolution at UG level and Insect physiology, Insect toxicology & pest control at PG level. Besides teaching I am also in charge of our Museum which houses more than 1000 species ranging from poriferans to mammals. I have been actively engaged in University administration as warden and time to time as acting provost. I was elected as member of Academic Council as well as member of Executive Committee of AMU Teachers Association. Presently I am member of University Proctorial team as Assistant Proctor.
