Biography
Qualified from AMU (M.S.Orthopaedics) and Liverpool, UK (M.Ch.Orth.). After more than 6 years of training in UK, joined the department in 1991. Working as General Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in traumatology, specially Complex Fractures. Special interest, in Joint Replacement (mainly hips). Appointed Visiting Professor of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G. R. Medical University, for a period of 5 years, starting from June, 2011. Published more than 40 scientific papers in national and international journals of repute. Supervised 18 M.S.Orth. theses and Co-supervised, 6 PG theses from other departments. Appointed external examiner at various universities in the country. Conducted interviews as expert at various national bodies. Had been UGC expert to assess for grant in other universities. Involved in PG teaching and have been Incharge of Postgraduate Teaching Programme of the department, for last many years. Delivered invited lectures in CME programmes in other universities.
