Biography
Mohd Arif Khan is having a rich and varied experience of academics and industry. He is blended with teaching and supervisory skills along with proven leadership abilities on field acquired during his work as coordinator of a prestigious internationally funded project. He has sound working and administrative experience as District Project Coordinator (DPC) while leading a fourteen member team working on a prestigious UNICEF funded project to improve Maternal and Child Health indicators. He has excellent knowledge & practice of health and social work. He is well-equipped with two first class professional degrees and command over excellent communication with participatory skills. He has applied effectively the theoretical knowledge base on field while working in area of Mother and Child Health (MCH) for noble initiative of saving lives of mother and children. He provides students with an opportunity to learn from his rigorous grass root experiences gained while working with international and national organizations. He has worked with various international bodies like UNICEF for reducing Infant Mortality Rate by strengthening the Comprehensive Child Survival Program (CCSP-SS) & Polio eradication Program, ILO for educating children through Special Child Labour Schools and Government of India on Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) under the aegis of Department of Social Work, Aligarh Muslim University. Mohd Arif Khan enriched with practical field understanding and knowledge is teaching and supervising Master of Social Work (MSW) & Bachelor of Social work (BSW) students in theory classes, presentations, supervisory conferences and concurrent field work. He is teaching papers-Dimensions of Health & Medical Social Work, Human Growth & Development, Social Policy & Planning, General Psychology & Child Development, Social Psychology and Community Work & Social Action. Core area of interest is Health and Development with particular focus on Mother & Child Health (MCH). He has participated in various international and national seminars and has contributed chapters and papers in volumes and reputed peer reviewed journals.
