Biography
Dr. Mohd Azam Khan is currently serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, A.M.U. Aligarh. He completed his Ph.D on "Problem of Fiscal Stabilization in Indian Economy since Seventh Plan". He was awarded JRF/SRF by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi in Economics for a period of five years. He was sanctioned a Major Research Project by UGC in 2010. He visited Thailand under ICSSR-NRCT Bilateral Scholars Exchange Programme in 2015. He has also organised a workshop and a national Seminar to his credit. His research and teaching areas of interest are economic theory, public economics, development economics, and Indian economy. A number of articles written by him have been published in several national and international journals namely Asian Profile: An International Journal, Romanian Journal of Fiscal Policy, Budgetary Research Review, Indian Journal of Federal Studies, Kurukshetra: A Journal of Rural Development, Entrepreneurship Business Review- Bi- Annaul Refereed International Journal etc. He has also published two books. He is life member of Indian Economic Association and Uttar Pradesh Uttrakhand Economic Association. He has participated in several national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. He has supervised three students for the award of PhD degree and also supervising research work leading to the award of the degree of Ph.D.
