Biography
Dr. Nisar Ahmad Khan did his B.A. , M.A. M. Phil. and Ph.d. from Aligarh Muslim University. He was awarded Cambridge Commonwealth Scholarship for pursuing a course of Diploma in Development Studies at University of Cambridge U.K. Dr. Khan joined AMU as Lecturer in 1983. He was appointed Reader in 1992 and Professor in 2003. He worked as Professor of Economics, under United Nations Development Programme in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, Ethiopian Civil Service College, Addis Ababa, Ethipia from 01.10.2004 to 05.09.2007. Dr. Khan has published several research articles in national and international journals like Indian Economic Journal, Indian Journal of Labour Economics, The Asian Economic Review, Asian Profile, Journal of Social and Economic Development, Banking Finance etc. His thrust areas are Monetary Economics and Development Economics. He teaches Economics of Growth and Financial institutions and markets to postgraduate students and international Economics to undergraduate students.
