Pitabas Pradhan

Biography

Dr.Pitabas Pradhan is Associate Professor at the Department of Mass Communication.Before joining AMU in 2003 he was teaching at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Berhampur University (Odisha).Having earned post-graduate degrees in JMC as well as HRM, and a Ph. D in corporate communication, Dr Pradhan has published more than Thirty research papers/articles in international and national journals of repute including Media Asia, Communicator, Indian Journal of Social Work, Indian Media Studies Journal, Mass Communicator, Media Mimansa, Journal of Communication Studies, Media Watch, International Journal of Communication Development, and Amity Media and Journalism Review. He has presented papers in a number of international and national conferences both within the country and abroad.He has successfully guided two Ph.Ds and 04 M.Phils, Five Ph.Ds in progress. His areas of research interest are Corporate Communication/Public relations, New Media/Convergence journalism, Media Management,Law and Ethics, and Development of Media. Being a NSS Programmer Officer,AMU since June 2011, he actively engages himself in extension work through NSS volunteers.
