Biography
Dr. Asif Ali did M.Phil and Ph.D in 1981 and 1984, respectively, in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Medicine, A.M.U. He has been involved in teaching for 27 years. He was appointed as Lecturer in 1988, Reader in 1994 and Professor in 2003. He has completed 2 terms as Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry. Presently, working as the Coordinator of IBRC and Incharge of Central Animal house of J. N. Medical College. Dr. Asif Ali has been actively engaged in research for the past 36 years. His major field of research interest is in protein and nucleic acid immunology and the role of modified proteins and nucleic acids in various diseases. He has supervised 2 M.Phil and 9 Ph.D candidates, and successfully guided 8 MD students. He has published two book chapter, 64 research papers in international and 9 in national journals of high repute. He has presented 83 research papers in various scientific conferences. He has successfully completed five research projects as Principal Investigator.
