Biography
Prof. M. Muneer Graduation and Post Graduation in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, AMU, Aligarh and Ph.D. (Chemistry) from the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Worked for ten years as Scientist in the Photochemistry Research Unit at Regional Research Laboratory (CSIR) Trivandrum. Joined as Reader in the Department of Chemistry, AMU, Aligarh in the year 1998 and at present working as Professor since 2005. Has been involved in teaching of Organic Chemistry courses, Photochemistry, Application of Spectroscopic methods, Heterocyclic Chemistry etc. at Graduate and Post Graduate level. Has been a recipient of Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation and Marie Curie Incommimg International Fellowship. Research Interest has been in the area of Photocatalysis, Organic Photochemistry, Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Electron Transfer Reactions. Produced 10 Ph.D's and Published more than 100 research papers in peer reviewed scientific journals such as JACS, JOC, J. Photochem. Photobiol, Environ. Sci & Technology, Catalysis Today. Life member of Chemical Research Society of India, Bangalore and Indian Chemical Society, Kolkatta, India. Given invited talks in National and International Conferences in the area of photocatlysis
