Biography
Dr. Shah Mohd. Khan is Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He did Masters in Statistics & Psychology from Aligarh Muslim University and obtained Ph.D. Degree in Psychology from Lucknow University (INDIA). Prior to joining the AMU, Dr. Khan was an officer at the Research Designs and Standards Organization (only R&D organization of Indian Railways and posted at Lucknow, Kolkata and Mumbai. He was responsible for selection of Safety Staff for Indian Railways through aptitude test and research relating to human error in train operations. Dr. Khan has his proficiency in Job analysis, standardization of tests and validation of test batteries. He has developed and standardized numerous psychometric tests. He was Jt. Secretary for number of years for Institute of Rail Transport (IR academic body) and instrumental in organizing number of diploma courses. He has over twenty five years of research experience in applied psychology and was instrumental in completion of 51 research projects over the Indian Railways. He has also been associated with number of universities/institutions over India for more than 12 years as guest/adjunct faculty and taught various papers at Under-graduate and Post Graduate levels. He has authored, co-authored and contributed 41 research papers in National and International Journals. Dr. Khan helped more than 40 research students in preparation of synopsis, standardization of tools, data analysis and interpretation of results. He has also developed, standardized and published 12 tests. Dr. Khan has attended and presented papers, gave invited Talk/Lecture/Resource person in the several National and International Conferences, Workshop and Seminars. He is a Life Member and Annual Member of various National and International Associations. Dr. Khan has vast experience in developing research methodology, data analysis using SPSS, SAS, Statistica, Stata, etc. softwares and interpretation of results. He has also organized number of workshops for Industries/Organizations/Universities on Data Analysis using SPSS. In addition to this his current areas of research are: Psychometry, Psychological Assessment, Research Methodology, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management.
