Biography
Dr. Shakeb Ahmad is an Assistant Professor of Aligarh Muslim University, in the Department of Physics. He works in the area of Nuclear and Particle Physics (Phenomenology) which aims to understand the true nature of fundamental interactions and fundamental structures by studying properties of nucleus and elementary particles. His recent research has focused on the Super-heavy Elements (SHEs) and r-processes and the role they play in astrophysics and cosmology. He has published his research works in many National and International journal of great repute such as Physical Review Letter, Physical Review C, Physical review D, Nuclear Physics A, Nuclear Physics B, Physics Letters B, European Physic Letter A, AIP journals , Int. J. of modern Physics E, Pramana etc. He is involved in under-graduate as well as post graduate level teaching. He teaches courses like Mathematical Physics, Classical Mechanics, Nuclear Physics, Particle physics, Basic graduate mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism etc. along with computer programming courses like FORTRAN and C++.
