Sidra Khanam
Assistant Professor
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Aligarh Muslim University
India
Biography
Dr. Sidra Khanam obtained her PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in the year 2016 where she was enrolled in Industrial Tribology, Machine Dynamics and Industrial Engineering Centre (ITMMEC). Prior to this, she obtained her B. Tech (Mechanical Engg.) degree from Zakir Husain College of Engg. & Tech., Aligarh Muslim University in 2009 and was awarded Maulana Tufail Ahmed medal from the University for being the topper of Mechanical Engineering Department. She has authored five international journals publications in highly reputed journal like Transactions of ASME, Journal of Vibration and Acoustics and Journal of Tribology. She has also five international conference proceeding publications to her credit, for one of which, she has been awarded best paper presentation in the area from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) at London. Her research interests include vibration analysis of rolling bearings with defects, modeling of local defects in bearings, detection and diagnosis of defects in rolling element bearings, signal processing of the vibration signals of rotor bearing system, and noise removal from the signal for extraction of pure information generated by the rotor bearing to assist in identification and location of defects.
