Biography

Dr. S.J.A. Rizvi started his professional career from DGP Windsor (India) Limited, Mumbai, in 2001 as a Senior Engineer (Application Engineering -R&D). In year 2002, he moved to academics from industry, he joined Nirma University of Science and Technology, Ahmedabad. He worked there as Lecturer in the Department of Plastics Engineering. Then he moved to Department of Petroleum Studies, AMU - Aligarh in the year 2004 as a lecturer (Polymer Technology). Presently he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Petroleum Studies, AMU - Aligarh. He has established a Polymer and Composite Material Laboratory. He, along with Prof. M. Kamil, submitted several research proposals to various external funding agencies and got three research projects from various funding agencies of worth about 36.0 lac. He also developed experiments on Virtual Instrumentation in Process Control Laboratory. He procured the Labview 2010 VI software (10 users) along with most useful hardware including actuators and sensors. He completed his B.Tech. degree in Chemical Technology (Plastics Tech.) from H.B.T.I - Kanpur in year 2001. In 2009 he completed his M.Tech. (Polymer Science & Technology) from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi with 9.0 CPI as a QIP candidate. He has done his Ph.D. from IIT-Delhi in 2015. His area of research includes Microcellular Injection Molding, Polymer Nanocomposites and Jugaad Innovations. He has published/ presented many research papers in journals and conferences of repute. He has filed two patents in 2009.
