Biography

Syed Mohammad Safdar Ashraf is Chairman, Department of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib (Preventive & Social Medicine) in the Faculty of Unani medicine but in addition, has a wider role for the ongoing development and success of Community Medicine at Aligarh in partnership with World health organization and Health administration. He is a graduate in Science & Medicine (Unani) as well as Doctor of Medicine from AMU, Aligarh. He has successfully completed Refresher Course from Jawahar Lal University, New Delhi, University of Delhi, Delhi and AMU, Aligarh. In addition, he continues to do clinical practice as a Consultant Hifazati Tadabir (Regimental Care) with a reputation in the preventive management of patients with disorders of the Obesity, Arthritis, Hepatitis, Depression, Insomnia, Cervical spondilitis etc. He is a Nodal Officer (WHO (NPSP) also and supervising routine vaccination as well. He is engaged in immunization in field through adopting an under served area of Aligarh District. Health surveys, Nutritional Assessment programme, Health awareness programme, celebrating various health days , organization of teaching & training workshop and National conference is best suited to him. He has administrative & financial control of the department.He has additional qualification of PG diploma in medical Lab technology & certificate of Food & Nutrition.His range of salary is Rs. 37400-67, Grade pay - 10000 and Pay Band Rs. 55520 at present
