Biography
Prof. Akhtara Sultana Ahmed comes from the North-Eastern corner of India, and holds a specialisation in Criminal Law from Gauhati University (Assam). Originally from a Science background, her passion towards Law made her to study LL.B. in University Law College, coming under Gauhati University, Assam. After completing the LL.B., she joined Gauhati University to pursue her LL.M. with Criminal Law as her specialisation paper. By the time she completed her Master of Laws, she became the university topper in the year 2013. She began her career with NEF Law College, Guwahati (Assam) as an Assistant Professor, and successfully completed two years before she shifted to Bangalore. During this period, she published numerous articles in various platforms and journals. Her expertise in certain subjects gained her the opportunity to set question papers for the Gauhati University law exams. Currently, she has registered for her doctoral degree with Gauhati University, Assam, and has joined the Alliance School of Law as an Assistant Professor.
