Biography
Dr. Joy Chakraborty is presently working as an Assistant Professor-Finance in the Alliance School of Business, Alliance University-Bangalore and teaches subjects related to the accounting and finance areas. He is an alumnus of Calcutta University and Jadavpur University, Kolkata and received his Ph.D in Management from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur (West Bengal) in the area of Life Insurance. He has received the University Gold Medal in MBA (Finance) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and has also qualified the UGC-NET examination in Commerce. He is an avid researcher in the areas related to Finance and Insurance and has several publications to his credit in refereed national and international journals. He has an academic experience of 9-10 years in the areas of research and teaching with several reputed organizations in West Bengal, and started his academic career with ICFAI Business School, Kolkata. He has industry experience of more than one year with Tata-AIG Life Insurance Company Ltd. – Kolkata in the area of back-office operations. His research interests are in the area of Insurance, NBFCs and Banking, CSR, Mutual Funds, etc.
