Biography
Arjun Bharadwaj currently serves as Assistant Professor in Amrita Darshanam (International Centre for Spiritual Studies) in Bangalore campus. He obtained his Master Degree in Sanskrit from Karnataka Sanskrit University, Bangalore in 2017, and MS Degree in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 2014. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from NITK Surathkal, Mangalore, Karnataka in 2011. He gained Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung – Goethe Zertifikat C1 (qualified as teacher and translator in German) at Goethe Institute, Pune in 2011. He has also completed a 2-year course in Classical Greek Literature and Philosophy under the tutorship of Dr. Franziska Egli Utzinger at University of Zurich, Switzerland. Besides, he has been taking intensive studies in Indian Philosophy: Advaita Vedanta from the original texts – Upanishads, Bhagavadgita and the works of Shankaracharya under Prof. Manikarnika N (Scholar of Philosophy) in Bangalore from 2007 to 2011, Sanskrit literature, grammar and philosophy under Shatavadhani Dr. R Ganesh in Bangalore since 2007, and theory and practice of Natyashastra under Smt. Nirupama Rajendra at Abhinava Arts Centre, Bangalore since 2014. He has published over 20 other articles on arts, aesthetics and philosophy for the online journal Prekshaa.
