Dr. S. Senthil Ganesh

Biography

Dr. S. Senthil Ganesh has more than 18 years’ experience in academics in organizations such as XIM, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), IIM, Ahmedabad, Madurai Institute of Social Sciences (MISS). During his tenure as a faculty at XIMB, he developed the “Employment Relations” course with storytelling pedagogy which is a core course in PGDM programmes such as Business Management and Human Resource Management. In addition to his own research and publications, Prof. Ganesh has anchored XIMB’s open access research initiative “Journal of Case Research” in 2009 and continued as the Editor of the journal from July 2010 to March 2016. During his tenure, Journal of Case Research has published about 50 high quality management cases with teaching notes by authors from IIMs, XLRI, TISS, MDI, TAPMI, etc. Prof. Ganesh was also instrumental in developing a two year full time programme in Human Resource Management in the year 2010 and continued as the Programme Coordinator and / or Programme Committee Chair for the PGDM HR programme from June 2010 to May 2015. He was also the Programme Coordinator of the Technology Enabled Learning Programmes between 2007 and 2010 and managed the XIMB’s e-learning initiative offered to executives through V-SAT and Video Conference platforms across several centres in India. Over the last decade, Prof. S.S. Ganesh has offered consulting services to various for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Some of his clients include Lhoist (an European MNC), UNDP, German Red Cross, NIT (Rourkela), Foundation for Ecological Security etc., He has also designed training programmes such as Strategic HRM, Strategic HR Scorecard, Essential Managerial Competencies, HRM for Line Managers etc., and trained executives of clients such as Powergrid Corporation, Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (for IFS Officers), NALCO, Mangalam Timbers Ltd (Birla Group Company) etc.
