Biography
Sougata is in his final year as a PhD scholar at ASB. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Calcutta University, a Master’s degree in Economics from Annamalai University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Amrita University (Amrita Institute of Management). His PhD work is in the field of microfinance. He is working on the issue of over-indebtedness in the microfinance sector in India. He had also received the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship by European Union for Doctoral Research at University of Porto, Porto, Portugal for the period 2013-2015.
