Biography
Dr. Mini K. M. joined Amrita in 1996 after completing her M. E. in Structural Engineering with Computer Applications. She received her Ph. D. from Anna University and her research area was focused on the application of soft computing in structural engineering. She was the principal investigator of the All - India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) funded project, “Development and Scale - up of Plunging Hollow Jet and Venturi Aerator.” The aerator developed based on the project was successfully installed in the effluent treatment plant of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. Presently Dr. Mini is the principal investigator for the Department of Science & Technology (DST) funded project, “Investigation of Compatibility between Portland Pozzolana Cement and Admixtures in High Performance Concrete.” She has several publications in referred international and national journals and in various conferences. She serves as reviewer of international journals such as Structural Engineering and Mechanics, Steel & Composite Structures, Technopress and Journal of Irrigation Engineering, ASCE. She authored a book titled Analysis and Assessment of Behavior of Infilled Frames using Artificial Neural Networks, published by Lambert Academic Publishing (LAB), ISBN – 978-3-8443-1068-9.
