Biography
J. R. Jinesh Sekhar who currently serves as Assistant Professor of Samskrit in the Department of Humanities, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri, is a disciple of the renowned Ayurveda - Jyothisha Acharya Sukumara Swamikal of Umamaheswara Ashram. He completed his M.Phil. at Madurai Kamaraj University; Master’s in Sanskrit Language and Literature and Bachelor’s in Sanskrit with specialization in Jyothisha from the University of Kerala. Additionally he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education. He has qualified for UGC-NET and Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). His research interests include medical astrology, and teaching methods. During 2010-13, he served as Educational broadcaster in Gyanvani of Indira Gandhi National Open University and as Panel Member of Radio Health, National Rural Health Mission, as part of a nation building programme. In the training programme on “Use of ICT in Education for Online and Blended Learning” conducted by IIT Mumbai, he was conferred an “Award of Excellence” for being a ‘top performer’. This performance also got him selected as Associate Faculty by IIT Mumbai for their National Mission on Education through ICT(MHRD). He also serves as an external contributor in the ‘Spoken Tutorial Project’ of IIT Mumbai. He is a resource person in several programs organized by the University Institute of Technology, University of Kerala and in Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady.
