Biography
Dr. Bapsy is Senior Consultant & Head of the Department of Oncology at Apollo Hospital, Bangalore. Previously she was Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at Kidwai Oncology Hospital, Bangalore. Dr. Bapsy holds the unique distinction of being the first woman in India to obtain D.M. in (Medical Oncology). Bangalore. She has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Medical Oncology as well Teaching. Some of her awards include Paul Harris Award bur Rotary (2002), Senior Research Fellow, Oxford University, Oxford, UK (2005) and many more. She has authored more than 117 scientific publications in various National and International Journals. Member of various professional bodies viz. Indian Medical Association, Indian Society for Oncology, European School of Medical Oncology to name a few. Dr. Bapsy was the chief monitor of phase II clinical trials of the Dendritic Cell preparation developed by Apac Biotech
