Biography
Dr. Bhattacharya is credited for pioneering the technique of total arterial revascularization with LIMA-RIMA Y’ grafting in a beating heart, The prestigious Solomon Victor Memorial award which is given only to those who have made original contribution in the field of CVTS was conferred to him in 2010 for this innovation. He has designed a few surgical instruments, the most important ones being Arterial Retractor for Mitral Valve Replacement and Internal Mammary Artery Retractor for taking down bilateral Internal Mammary Arteries. in the world and has performed over 5000 cases by this technique since 1998.
