Biography

 With degrees of MBBS & MD (Medicine) from AFMC, Pune University, DNB (Medicine) from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, and DM (Cardiology) from the PGIMER, Chandigarh, Dr. (Col) Manjinder Singh Sandhu is the Head of the Cardiology Department at the Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon. With over 16 years of work experience, Dr. Manjinder Singh Sandhu has been associated with the Armed Forces Medical College/Command Hospital (Pune), Army Base Hospital (Siliguri), Military Hospital (Kota), Command Hospital (Chandigarh), Military Hospital (Secunderabad), Base Hospital/ AH (New Delhi), and the Batra Hospital & Medical Research Centre (New Delhi). As a committed doctor, he has trained many interns and has been actively involved in teaching postgraduate students of Medicine & Cardiology. He held the post of Additional Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at the Army College of Medical Sciences in Delhi Cantt. The Principal Investigator in research projects of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, and the Armed Forces Medical Research Committee, Dr. Manjinder Singh Sandhu has had the honour of being the Accompanying Cardiologist to the President of India on tours. He has been bestowed with many awards, including the Fellowships of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and the Society of Cardiac Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). He was also awarded the Lt. Gen. Inder Singh Gold Medal and the Natu Foundation Public Charitable Trust Award for standing first in the MD (Medicine) Examination of the Pune University in the year 1993. He received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Defense of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and Commendation by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, for rendering dedicated & committed service to citizens affected by floods in May 2003. Dr. Sandhu has a special interest in Complex Coronary Interventions, Rotational Atherectomy, Transradial Interventions, Peripheral Interventions including Carotid, Renal, Device Closure of Congenital Heart Defects, Pacemakers, ICD & Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy Implants, and Balloon Valvuloplasty. He has undergone wide training programs at various centers and has also attended many seminars & conferences. His significant lectures include what to measure LDL or Apolipoprotein B at the Clinical Cardiology Conference in Manali in 2006 and Direct Rennin Inhibition in Management of Hypertension at the Novartis Round Table Meet held in New Delhi in 2010. Dr. Sandhu is a member of various renowned organizations, including the Association of Physicians of India, Cardiological Society of India, American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, European Association of Percutaneous Interventions, and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
