Biography
Dr. Namita Jaggi serves as Chief of Education & Research and Director of Laboratory Services & Infection Control at Artemis Medicare Services Limited. Dr. Jaggi has more than 15 years experience in the field of diagnostic microbiology, infection control and the running of labs, having successfully headed reputed labs in Delhi. She is a Consultant Microbiologist and Director Lab Services & Infection Control at Artemis Hospital and spearheads the infection control program involving herself in teaching, training and setting up policies and protocols. Her key areas of interest include the Quality control in labs, judicious use of antibiotics, healthcare worker safety and reducing Hospital acquired infections. She has authored a book- Microbiology Theory for MLT (published by Jaypee), several research papers and is a regular contributor of medical articles. She has delivered numerous talks on Microbiology and infection control at national and international forums including the prestigious Robert Koch institute at Berlin and Karolinska University at Stockholm. She is an active member of the Hospital infection society - India and the Indian association of Medical microbiologists. She is Country Secretary of the International Nosocomial Infection Control Consortium (INICC). She is a Member of National Panel on the Appropriate Use of Antibiotics. Dr. Jaggi has been trained at Maulana Azad Medical College Delhi (graduation and post graduation) excelling in her academic career with 3 distinctions and 2 gold medals. She holds M.D (Microbiology).
