Biography
Bejoy K Thomas has a background in social sciences with a Masters degree in Economics (Cochin University, India, 2001) and PhD in Development Studies (Tilburg University, The Netherlands, 2009). He is interested in interdisciplinary and problem driven research on environment and development. His early research was on multidimensional poverty and participatory development. Subsequently, he began looking at issues of water management and livelihoods in rural and peri-urban landscapes, in close collaboration with environmental scientists and engineers. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the Water Institute, University of Waterloo, Canada (2016) and the Liu Institute for Global Issues, The University of British Columbia, Canada (2017).
