Mark H. Perrone

Biography

Dr. Mark H. Perrone joined Aurigene as a scientific advisor on February 1, 2017. Mark holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine (Professor Patricia Hinkle) and carried out Post-doc studies in Neurobiology at the Cornell University School of Medicine (Professor Donald Reis). He worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 37 years (predominantly at Rhone Poulenc and Novartis). Mark has been instrumental for multiple successful drug discover projects that culminated in approved drugs. In his role at Novartis, he integrated the pharmacology and drug metabolism groups at the Novartis Genomics Institute (GNF), was instrumental in establishing and prosecuting numerous productive discovery collaborations with companies in India, China, Russia, UK and Germany and research head of the New indications Discovery Unit. Mark is an author/co-author of more than 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals
