Biography
He is a B.Sc., (Hons.) graduate and a M.Sc., (Electronics) postgraduate. He is professionally qualified as CAIIB, with all India 1st Rank in PartII. Mr. Murthy has over three decades of experience as a banker and has held various positions in SBI and its Associates . He retired as Managing Director & CEO of State Bank of Mysore, Bangalore, in the year 2003. His specialised areas of interest are International Banking, Foreign Exchange, Money Markets, Funds Management, Credit Management, Rural Development, Computerisation, Commercial Law and Systems and Procedures. He has authored several books on banking systems and contributes regular articles to financial magazines / newspapers.
