Biography
"Dr. Amit Bosle is currently Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Liberal Studies, Azim Premji University at Bangalore, India. Until 2016, He was an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He did his PhD work at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dr. Amit Bosle’s principal fields of concentration are Poverty and Inequality, Informality and Structural Change, and Political Economy of Knowledge. He works primarily on the Indian economy. Dr. Amit Bosle has taught undergraduate and MA courses at UMass-Boston, UMass-Amherst and at Bucknell University. These include Introduction to Macroeconomics, Economic Development, Economic Principles, Political Economy, Political Economy of Development and, Gender and Development. Dr. Amit Bosle holds a previous PhD in Neurobiology from Duke University (Durham, NC). He switched fields in 2005, after becoming interested in problems of economic development. "
