Jigisha Shastri

Biography

"Jigisha is an Early Childhood Care and Education Specialist, with a career span of 29 years - seventeen years of teaching, research and development work experience through the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. She has worked extensively with both private and Government sectors in curriculum development, capacity building of teachers, teacher trainers, program developers for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). Besides writing research papers and reports she has developed modules for early childhood practitioners and activity books for children. Her last assignment was as the State Early Childhood Consultant for Pragati Development Consultancy Services Ltd (PDCSL) (third party agreement with UNICEF, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India) She was awarded the Pramila Phatak Award for distinguished performance in master's program. She has guided students for masters research and doctoral thesis. She was selected by the World Forum Foundation as a Global Leader from India, for the year 2009-2010. Jigisha is adjuct faculty at the Azim Premji University."
