Biography
"Malini Bhattacharjee's training lies in Political Science. Her research interests revolve around issues of religious identity, ethnicity and political conflict and the intersections emerging between religion and development. She started her career at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and subsequently worked in a conflict resolution firm where she was involved in conducting research on the Kandhamal riots of 2008 in Odisha between Hindus and Christians and a CAO World Bank project on 'Local Stakeholder perception study for IFC funded projects' in the state of Gujarat. Malini has her doctorate, M.Phil and M.A degrees in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi."
Research Interest
Malini's primary work has revolved around the politics of Hindu nationalism in India. She is also interested in the anthropology of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
