Biography
Rahul has been a part of the team working with the District Quality Education Project at Chamarajanagar in Karnataka. He worked in collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and was involved in the design, coordination and implementation of training programs for education functionaries at the sub-district level and in the development of a training management system at the block level. Rahul has submitted his Ph.D. at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore, and his research interests are in the area of Organisational Sociology, Sociology of Education, Anthropology of the State, and Development Studies. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Goa Institute of Management and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. Ph.D. (Social Anthropology) under the aegis of the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore; Degree awarded by the Manipal University; 2011 Post Graduate Diploma in Management, 2000 ,Goa Institute of Management Bachelor of Science (Honours in Economics), 1992 ,From St. Xavier's College, Calcutta, University of Calcutta. His teaching areas are 'Introduction to Research' in the Masters in Education Programme, Azim Premji University, 2011-2012 'Research Methods' in the M.A. Education (Elementary) Programme, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, 2010-2011.
