Uday Chander Khanna

Biography

 Mr. Uday Chander Khanna served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Lafarge India Pvt. Ltd. from September 2005 to August 2011. Mr. Khanna joined the Lafarge Group in Paris on June 1, 2003 as Senior Vice President for Group Strategy after a long experience of almost 30 years with Hindustan Lever/ Unilever, where he held a variety of financial, commercial and general management roles both nationally and internationally. Mr. Khanna served as the Senior Vice President of Finance in Unilever Asia. He was on the Board of Hindustan Unilever as Director of Exports. He has occupied coveted positions of Financial Controller & Treasurer of Hindustan Lever. He has been the Non-Executive Chairman of Bata India Ltd. since June 28, 2011 and as its Independent Non Executive Director since March 30, 2006. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Coromandel International Limited from July 27, 2015 to October 27, 2015. He served as Non Executive Chairman and Director of Lafarge India Pvt. Ltd. since August 2011 until September 2014. He served as the Vice Chairman of Lever Brothers in Nigeria. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Pfizer Limited since May 21, 2012. He serves as Non-Executive External Director at Murugappa Group Ltd. He has been Independent Non- Executive Director at Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited since September 16, 2016 and Pidilite Industries Limited since April 03, 2014. He serves as a Director of DSP BlackRock Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd. He has been an Independent Director of Castrol India Ltd, since January 3, 2012. He served as Non-Executive Independent Director of Thomas Cook (India) Limited from October 29, 2012 to September 1, 2015; NRB Bearings Ltd. since April 01, 2014 until August 25, 2016; and Coromandel International Limited from July 23, 2012 to March 21, 2016. He was General Auditor for Unilever-North America based in the USA. He serves as the Member of the Governing Council of Indo-French Chamber Of Commerce & Industry. He was the President of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2008 & 2009 and is the President of The Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2012 and 2013 and on the Managing Committee of the Associated Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Mr. Khanna is a Chartered Accountant by Profession.
